    Journal of Panggung is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal focusing on arts and culture studies, published quarterly by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Indonesian Institute of the Arts and Culture (ISBI) Bandung. The journal publishes original research articles, theoretical and critical studies, and selected papers derived from theses, dissertations, and academic forums. All submissions undergo a rigorous editorial screening and double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance.

  • Jurnal Budaya Etnika

    Jurnal Budaya Etnika has been registered with the number ISSN 2798-1878(Online) and 2549-032X(Print). Jurnal Budaya Etnika apply the peer-reviewed process in selecting high quality article based on scientific research and theoretical by the by  Program Studi Antropologi Budaya, Fakultas Budaya dan Media, ISBI Bandung. This journal collaborated with ADJASI with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Asosiasi Antropologi Indonesia Pengda Jabar, with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) no: B/701/IT8.6/HK.07.00/2019 

     

    Focus and Scope: 

    1. Cultural Anthropology

    Focuses on the ways of life, symbolic systems, social structures, and how societies make sense of their world. The sub-fields include:

    • Ethnography and Local Culture: In-depth studies of ethnic groups, customs, beliefs, and indigenous traditions.
    • Folklore and Oral Traditions: Research on folktales, myths, legends, proverbs, and traditional performing arts.
    • Anthropology of Religion and Belief Systems: Rituals, magic, religious practices, cosmology, and the intersection of faith and local culture.
    • Anthropology of Art and Visual Culture: Artistic expressions, traditional music, dance, crafts, and visual documentation of culture.
    • Cultural Ecology: The relationship between humans, culture, and the environment (including local wisdom in environmental preservation).Cultural Anthropology
    • Socio-Cultural Change: Cultural transformation driven by modernization, globalization, tourism, and technological adaptation.
    1. Humanities

    Focuses on how humans express, document, and analyze human experiences, thoughts, and creativity. The sub-fields include:

    • Cultural Studies: Critical analysis of popular culture, identity, gender, post-colonialism, and power dynamics in society.
    • Language and Literature: Ethnolinguistics, regional literature, philology (ancient manuscripts), and cultural semiotics.
    • Cultural History: The evolution of civilizations, local history, collective memory, and historical narratives.
    • Philosophy and Local Wisdom: Value systems, ethics, worldviews (weltanschauung), and philosophical thoughts embedded in local communities.
    • Archaeology and Cultural Heritage: Preservation of historical sites, artifacts, and the management of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
    1. Social Sciences

    Focuses on human interactions, institutional structures, and broader societal dynamics. The sub-fields include:

    • Sociology of Society: Social structures, stratification, social movements, conflicts, and the dynamics of urban or rural communities.
    • Cross-Cultural Communication: Intercultural interaction patterns, media and culture, and identity negotiation in the public sphere.
    • Gender Studies and Social Inclusion: The role of gender in culture, marginalization, minority groups, and social justice.
    • Community Development and Empowerment: Policies rooted in local wisdom, poverty alleviation, and community strengthening strategies.
    • Social Relations and Public Policy: How cultural aspects influence customary law (hukum adat), conflict resolution, and social governance.

    Jurnal Budaya Etnika has been accredited Sinta 3 by Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia as an academic journal (SK Dirjen Dikti No. 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025)

     

    Jurnal Budaya Etnika published by the Program Studi Antropologi Budaya, Fakultas Budaya dan Media, ISBI Bandung, a year in June and December.

    Pantun is a scientific journal of arts and culture, science, and scientific disciplines related to these two areas of study.

    Pantun: Jurnal Ilmiah Seni Budaya Culture has the responsibility to develop local-traditional art and culture as well as pay attention to the dynamics of contemporary art and culture that take place in the midst of cosmopolitan traditions.

    Paraguna Journal is a journal within the Karawitan Department, Faculty of Performing Arts ISBI Bandung, which prioritizes the preservation, management and development of artistic potential, as well as culture and local wisdom of the archipelago that is competitive in the global arena. Karawitan can specifically be defined as a traditional musical art found in all ethnic regions of Indonesia. Especially in Java, Madura and Bali. In this case, the Karawitan Department of ISBI Bandung makes Sundanese culture as the ethnic specificity theme.

    Atrat is a Journal of Visual Arts containing scientific papers which includes Fine Art, Craft, and Design, published by Jurusan Seni Rupa ISBI Bandung (p-ISSN 2339-1642 & e-ISSN 2722-7200). Jurnal Atrat also embodies the results of various forms of scientific research as well as the creation of artworks, which can become new knowledge published in scientific articles, so it is worthy to be read and understood by readers.
