Abstract

Film Iran karya Sutradara Majid Majidi memiliki kode umum dan kode khusus yang diolah sedemikian rupa oleh sutradara melalui proses pengambilan gambar dan editing. Kode umum dan kode khusus dalam film berhubungan dengan gerakan kamera: traveling (gerak kamera mengikuti gerak objek), panning (gerak kamera ke kiri/ kanan), zoom in/ zoom out (kamera semakin mendekati/ menjauhi objek), dll. Kode umum pasti ada di semua film, sebagai sebuah “kumpulan cara kamera mengambil gambar”, sedangkan kode khusus hanya terdapat pada film tertentu sebagai ciri khas suatu genre, suatu kurun, suatu aliran/ suatu bangsa.  Selain itu, film juga memuat kode yang sering digunakan dalam fotografi (long shot, medium shot, close up shot, Extreme Close Up, dll), serta kode analogi visual. Dalam 3 film tersebut (“Children of Heaven”, “Color of Paradise”, dan “Baran”), Majid Majidi terutama mengaplikasikan Kode Khusus yakni berupa  Metafora dan Metonimi yang berkesesuaian dengan agama dan budaya Iran yang puitis dan sufistik.
