MAKNA SIMBOLIS GERAK TARI TOPENG SASIKIRANA STUDIO TARI INDRAWATI LUKMAN BANDUNG (Analisis Semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce)
Abstract
Sasikirana merupakan pengembagan dari karya tari topeng pamindo. Hal yang menarik dalam karya sasikirana ini, banyaknya eksplorasi dan inovasi yang dilakukan baik dalam hal gerak, struktur gerak, iringan dan kostum. Sasikirana terkesan lebih modern dari segi penyajian. Penulis akan menggali maknadari tanda-tanda yang terdapat pada gerak tari sasikirana karya Indrawati Lukman menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika. Kajian terpusat pada tanda – tanda gerak dalamkarya tari topeng sasikirana, dikaji secara mendalam
sehingga mampu membongkar realitas makna dibalik karya tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna simbolis dari gerak tari Sasikirana karya Indrawati Lukman melalui pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Tari Sasikirana dipilih sebagai objek penelitian karena memiliki kekayaan simbolis yang merefleksikan nilai budaya dan kearifan lokal yang unik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, yang melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Peirce, yang membagi tanda menjadi tiga komponen: representament, Objek, dan Interpretan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gerak-gerak dalam tari Sasikirana memiliki makna simbolis yang mendalam, yang merepresentasikan feminitas, keagungan perempuan, serta filosofi hidup masyarakat yang dihormati dalam budaya setempat.

ABSTRACT
THE SYMBOLIC MEANING OF SASIKIRANA MASK DANCE MOVEMENTS OF INDRAWATI LUKMAN DANCE STUDIO BANDUNG: SEMIOTIC (ANALYSIS OF CHARLES SANDERS PEIRCE), DECEMBER 2014. Sasikirana is a development of Pamindo mask dance. The interesting things in Sasikirana dance work are the extensive exploration and innovation applied to movements, movement structure, accompaniment, and costumes. Sasikirana appears to be more modern in its presentation style. The author would examine the meaning of the symbols in Sasikirana dance movements by Indrawati Lukman, using a qualitative method with a semiotic approach. This study focuses on the symbolic movements in Sasikirana mask dance, with deep analyzing process to uncover the underlying meanings. The purpose of this research is to reveal the symbolic meanings of the movements in Sasikirana dance by Indrawati Lukman through the semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Peirce. Sasikirana dance has been selected as the research subject because of its symbolic richness reflecting unique cultural values and local wisdom. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, involving data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using Peirce's semiotic theory, which divides signs into three components: representament, Object, and Interpretant. The findings show that the movements in Sasikirana dance owes deep symbolic meanings, representing femininity, the majesty of women, and the community life
