PERANCANGAN ARTISTIK PANGGUNG PERTUNJUKAN MUSIK DIGITAL DENGAN GAYA MEDITERANIAN “PYRAMID”

The background of this stage design making is the writer’s interest to digital music that was heard and seen either through live performance or taped video. Generally, digital music performance with ancient Egypt concept is set on an outdoor stage. Thus, the writer tried to present another atmosphere in a digital music performance combined with ancient Egypt fantasy concept on a proscenium indoor stage. The style of ancient Egypt was selected based on rational that the modern development, especially in the field of music, could be be presented on the stage that has historical elements. It is aimed at harmonizing modern development and historic heritage without changing or reducing the historical values.

Latar belakang perancangan ini adalah ketertarikan penulis pada musik digital yang didengar dan dilihat baik secara langsung maupun melalui rekaman video. Pertunjukan musik digital pada umumnya menggunakan latar belakang konsep mesir kuno pada panggung outdoor. Oleh karena itu, penulis mencoba nuansa lain pada tampilan pertunjukan musik digital yang digabungkan dengan fantasi mesir kuno di panggung indoor prosenium. Pemilihan gaya mesir kuno berdasarkan pertimbangan bahwa perkembangan modern, khususnya pada bidang music, bisa dikemas dengan suguhan set panggung yang memiliki unsur sejarah. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk menyelaraskan antara perkembangan modern dengan peninggalan sejarah tanpa mengubah atau mengurangi nilai sejarah tersebut.
