“SKAK” Sebuah Karya Tari Kontemporer Berdasarkan Perspektif Pemikiran Wallas
Abstract

The game of chess is not a sport which only relies on physical strength, but rather on the ability of brain (senses) to develop effective strategies to defeat the opponent and is played by two people. Therefore, chess is often considered as brain training. In other words, playing chess requires a brain strategy that focuses on strategic moves, so it requires high concentration and strategic thinking so that the physical activity tends to be static. This source of inspiration is then organized into a concept for contemporary dance work with a pure dance type approach in a form of group work, in which relying solely on the beauty of movement, both from traditional sources and from daily movements which are stylized to its needs.
