About the Journal
CAIJ: Creative Arts Interdisciplinary Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually (in February and August) by the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, Institut Seni Budaya Indonesia (ISBI) Bandung, Indonesia. The journal serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and researchers to explore, examine, and disseminate innovative works in the field of visual arts, crafts, and design.
CAIJ focuses on the interdisciplinary approaches in the creation, design, and critical study of the visual arts. It encourages the integration of theory and practice across a broad spectrum of visual art, craft, and design disciplines, including:
- Fine Arts
- Visual Communication Design
- Interior Design
- Product Design
- Fashion Design
- Crafts: Textiles, Metal, Wood, Leather, Ceramics, etc.
- Architecture
- Art Education (Art Education Products and Methods)
The journal welcomes contributions that demonstrate originality in conceptual thinking, methodological rigor, and relevance to contemporary issues in art and design. Submissions may take the form of research articles, artistic creations, design works, design analyses, studies of artistic works, or critical reviews involving the examination of works of art from modern and tradition perspectives.
