Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Panggung undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Initial Screening
Each submission is first evaluated by the Editor to assess its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, originality, and compliance with the author guidelines. - Editorial Assessment
Manuscripts that meet the formal and technical requirements are forwarded for peer review. Submissions that do not meet these requirements are returned to the authors for revision or declined. - Peer Review
All eligible manuscripts are reviewed using a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. - Review Outcomes
Based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations, the editorial decision may be:
- Accepted, with or without minor editorial revisions;
- Returned to the authors for revision to address specific comments before a final decision is made; or
- Rejected, due to reasons such as limited scholarly contribution, lack of originality, insufficient conceptual development, or significant methodological or interpretative issues.
When necessary, the Editor may assign the manuscript to an additional reviewer before reaching a final decision.
5. Final Decision
The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and deliberations of the editorial board.
