Author Guidelines

WRITING GUIDELINES

JOURNAL OF PERFORMING ARTS AND CULTURE

  1. Manuscripts must be the result of research in the field of arts and culture conducted within the last two years and must not have been published in any media.
  2. Manuscript files must be submitted in Word format and be less than 2 MB in size.
  3. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian or English. The length of the manuscript must be between 4000 and 6000 words, printed on A4 paper, single spaced, justified, and written in Palatino Linotype font. The font size for the journal title is 22, with bold (Bold) and centred (Center) text. The font size for the content is 11, with subheadings in bold (Bold).
  4. Abstracts should be a maximum of 150 words.
  5. Foreign and regional terms (except names) are written in italics.
  6. The structure of the article is as follows:
  7. The title is a maximum of 15-20 words, written entirely in capital letters.
  8. The full name of the author is listed without any titles.
  9. The institution/organisation where the author works is listed.
  10. Include the full address, telephone number, and postcode of the institution/organisation.
  11. Include the author's active email address and telephone number.
  12. Include an abstract in Indonesian, maximum 150 words.
  13. Include an abstract in English.
  14. The article content format consists of:
  • INTRODUCTION
  • METHOD
  • RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
  • CONCLUSION
  • ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (if any)
  • CONFLICT OF INTEREST (if any)
  • REFERENCES

15. Citation Technique:

16. Citations are listed directly or indirectly using the following source writing technique

  • Surname_Author (year, p. Page_number_book)

Example: Tarigan (2004, p. 19)

  • (Surname_Author, year, p. Page_number_book)

Example: (Tarigan, 2004, p. 19)

  • Surname_Author (in Name_Author_Quoter, year, p. Page_number_book)

Example: Tarigan (in Khaer, 2011, p. 25)

17. Sources of quotations without page numbers are permitted, provided that the page numbers of the quotations are listed in the bibliography.

18. Quotations of more than four lines are written separately from the paragraph with the following conditions:

  • Single spacing;
  • Written on a new line;
  • Written without indentation;
  • The entire quotation is written flush with the indentation of the previous paragraph.

19. The Bibliography is written in alphabetical order and follows the American Psychological Association (APA) style 6thedition rules. The order of the bibliography is as follows:

1. The author's last name followed by the author's first name;

Example: Calhoun, Emilia.

2. The year of publication is written in parentheses;

Example: (2018).

3. The title is written in italics;

Example: Discourse Analysis.

4. The name of the translator if the book used is a translation; and

5. The city of publication followed by the name of the publisher.

Example: Jakarta: Yudhistira.

20. Interview data included in the article must be listed in the bibliography. The interview source is written by including the source and date of the interview. Example: (Source Name, 12 December 2021).

21. The bibliography only includes literature referenced in the article.

22. Journal articles must cite at least two articles from previous issues of Jurnal Panggung.

24. Submitted manuscripts must have a maximum similarity value of less than 20% outside of the Bibliography.

25. References should preferably be from the latest journals (80%) published within the last 5 years.

26. The reference list must have a minimum of 25 references.

27. References should use endnote, medeley, zetero or reference manager or other

28. Photos or images included in the article must be accompanied by information on the source and year of capture.

29. Manuscripts must be submitted online via https://jurnal.isbi.ac.id/index.php/panggung/index after registering and also sent via email to the editorial team.

30. The content of articles is not the responsibility of the Editorial Board of Jurnal Panggung, and the content of articles does not necessarily reflect the editorial policy of the Editorial Board of Jurnal Panggung.

31. Authors must follow all Jurnal Panggung publication procedures (including returns for revision from editors and reviewers) until completion as a condition for publication of the author's manuscript in Jurnal Panggung.

32. A LoA (letter of acceptance) will be given if the manuscript has been reviewed and declared publishable by the reviewers and editorial team.

33. Authors must include a stamped statement of non-plagiarism worth IDR 10,000 signed by the head of the author's institution/organisation.
