Open Access Policy

Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya is committed to providing immediate, free, and unrestricted access to all its published content. In line with the principles of Open Access, we aim to make scholarly research and creative works widely available to readers, researchers, and the general public, ensuring the free dissemination of knowledge. 

1. Free and Immediate Access

  • All articles published in Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya are made freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers can access, read, download, copy, distribute, and print the full text of the articles without any subscription or payment.

  • The journal provides content in various digital formats (e.g., PDF, HTML) to ensure accessibility across a variety of platforms and devices.

2. Licensing and Copyright

  • Authors retain copyright of their articles. However, by submitting to Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya, authors grant the journal the right to distribute their work under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This allows others to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the work, as long as proper credit is given to the original author(s).

  • This license ensures that authors maintain the intellectual ownership of their work while allowing maximum use and dissemination of their research.

3. Archiving and Preservation

  • All published articles are archived and preserved in secure and stable open-access repositories. This ensures that the content is freely available and can be accessed long-term. We encourage the use of institutional repositories and other open-access platforms to further disseminate our articles.

  • Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya also participates in portico and LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to ensure long-term digital preservation.

4. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya does not charge authors any Article Processing Charges (APCs) for submission, peer review, or publication. This ensures that the journal remains free of charge for both authors and readers.

  • Our policy of not imposing any fees aligns with the principles of open-access publishing, where access to research is free for everyone without barriers, including financial ones.

5. Journal Content and Scope

  • The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and creative works related to the field of arts and culture, including but not limited to visual arts, performance arts, cultural studies, and interdisciplinary art practices. These works are available for free, contributing to the expansion of accessible knowledge in the humanities and arts.

6. Indexing and Distribution

  • Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya's content is indexed in major open-access databases such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, PubMed Central, and others. This increases the visibility and impact of the published research and creative works, making them discoverable to a wider global audience.

7. Ethical Publishing

  • As an open-access journal, Panggung Jurnal Seni Budaya adheres to rigorous ethical standards in all stages of the publication process. We are committed to transparent and fair peer review, and we ensure that all articles are reviewed according to the highest academic and ethical standards. We follow the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) to ensure that all publications are ethical and transparent.

8. Support for Open Research
