Correction, Retraction, and Withdrawal Policy
Jurnal Panggung is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the scholarly record. To uphold high standards of academic publishing, the journal implements a clear and transparent policy regarding corrections, retractions, and withdrawals, in accordance with publication ethics and best editorial practices.
Article Correction
A correction is issued when errors are identified in a published article that do not affect the overall scientific validity, reliability, or conclusions of the work, but may lead to misunderstanding or misinformation. Such errors may include typographical mistakes, minor data inaccuracies, author names, affiliations, references, or other technical details.
Corrections may be initiated by authors, editors, or credible third parties. Following an editorial review, the journal will publish a Correction Notice or Erratum that is directly linked to the original article. The corrected article will remain accessible, with a clear indication that a correction has been made.
Article Retraction
A retraction is issued when a published article is found to contain serious ethical violations or fundamental flaws that undermine the integrity, validity, or trustworthiness of the research. Grounds for retraction may include, but are not limited to, data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, copyright infringement, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or major methodological errors.
Retraction decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the editorial board, based on a fair and transparent investigation process. Authors are given an opportunity to respond or provide clarification. Retracted articles will not be removed from the journal archive; instead, they will be clearly labeled as Retracted, accompanied by a Retraction Notice explaining the reasons for retraction in order to preserve the transparency of the scholarly record.
Article Withdrawal
Withdrawal applies to manuscripts that are still in the pre-publication stage, including submission, peer review, or editorial processing. Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript by submitting a formal written request to the editorial office, stating clear and reasonable grounds for withdrawal.
Jurnal Panggung reserves the right to reject withdrawal requests if the manuscript has entered the final stages of publication or if there is evidence of ethical misconduct, such as simultaneous submission to another journal. Withdrawn manuscripts will not proceed to publication and will not appear in any journal issue.
General Principles
All procedures related to correction, retraction, and withdrawal are conducted with due regard to fairness, transparency, and accountability. This policy aims to protect the interests of readers, authors, editors, and reviewers, while safeguarding the credibility and academic reputation of Jurnal Panggung.
